Mental Health Support Worker

Deliver essential community-based outreach and recovery-oriented support to individuals with mental illness. Develop and implement individualized recovery plans, promoting positive self-care strategies and enhancing social and daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering individualized recovery support based on consumer goals.
  • Monitor and review consumer recovery plans in partnership with clinicians and community organizations.
  • Promote positive self-care strategies and enhance social and daily living skills.
  • Complete risk assessments and safety planning activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Availability to work morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Peer Mental Health, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience working with consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • NSW full Driver's License.
  • Understanding of Principles of Recovery-Oriented Mental Health Practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Individual Support Plans and utilize outcome measures.
