We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Mental Health Clinical Care Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your clinical expertise and service development skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.

About the Role:

  • This position will sit within the Acute Response Team (ART) and will support the clinical pathways, providing clinical leadership and an after-care service for young people experiencing a suicidal crisis within our catchment area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the Zero Suicide Framework, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to implement and adapt evidence-based suicide prevention and intervention strategies.
  • Support the development and delivery of education and training on the Zero Suicide Framework for various professions and services.
  • Support our mental health consumers by educating staff and coordinating care and referrals for seamless patient flow between services.
  • Provide high-level clinical services, including independent assessment, treatment, and case management for children and young people with complex mental health issues and their families.

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
