The University of Queensland School of Dentistry is seeking expressions of interest from casual academics to be engaged on a part-time basis.

Casual academics play a significant role in the overall student experience, assisting in the teaching and delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

  1. Prepare and deliver guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and tutorials.
  2. Mark assessment tasks as directed by course coordinators, with hours for marking confirmed prior to commencing.

Casual academic positions are available at multiple campuses, and successful appointees may be required to attend on campus.

We welcome applications from candidates with relevant qualifications and experience within the dental industry. High-achieving postgraduate students are also encouraged to apply.

This is a casual position with no firm commitment to ongoing or indefinite work. The hourly rate is competitive.

All casual academics must comply with relevant legislation and university policies, including:

  • University Code of Conduct.
  • OHS requirements and related procedures.
  • Sustainable practices and associated legislation.
  • Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and National Code 2007.
