Senior School Teacher

Position: Senior School Teacher (Years 11/12)

Start: Term 4, a new academic year.

Type: Full-time, permanent position with a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for students with disengagement issues, focusing on Australian curriculum at upper primary/middle school level.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and support the achievement of FLC's objectives.
  3. Maintain a positive, inclusive school atmosphere that promotes student growth and well-being.
  4. Work closely with an adventure-based learning coordinator to design and implement group programs.
  5. Implement integrated learning approaches emphasizing transferable skills from the Human Capabilities framework.
  6. Participate in accountability processes including reporting and personal learning plans.
  7. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing a supportive learning environment.
  8. Manage small class groups with focus on individualized instruction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Experience teaching QCAA Short Courses, Applied Subjects, VET, or in flexible learning environments.
  • Skills in Trauma-Informed Practice with a focus on supporting students with complex needs.
