Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of a healthcare organization outside of normal business hours. The After-Hours Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of patient care during emergency situations.

  • Effective management of nursing staff and other personnel to deliver high-quality services
  • Clinical support as required in various settings
  • Responding to, investigating, and following up incident reports in a timely manner
  • Identifying mandatory reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Managing roster shortfalls and ensuring compliance with Safe Patient Care Act 2015
  • Managing emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner, ensuring the safety of all staff and consumers
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in negotiating and resolving workplace conflicts in a professional and sensitive manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to quality improvement activities
  • Ability to provide advanced clinical support and mentorship to the nursing team
  • Leadership qualities and ability to supervise a team
