Job Title: Family Violence Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively within a passionate team, providing face-to-face support and advocacy for clients experiencing family violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage case load for clients residing at the refuge, assist with safety planning and coordination of services to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Process referrals from Safe Steps (24/7 referral service) and direct referrals, advocating for clients and connecting them with relevant external agencies.
  • Develop and implement life plans for clients, focusing on education, healthcare, and essential services.
  • Oversee the management of properties to ensure they provide a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Contribute to a positive team dynamic through collaboration and open communication.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • MARAM Training is mandatory.
  • Previous experience working within the family violence sector.
  • Critical thinking and ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.
  • Experience working in a refuge or similar setting is desirable.
  • Ability to adapt and grow into the role.
