Serco is a leading provider of integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. Our team works closely with Bupa to deliver defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally.
We are committed to providing quality on-site medical care to ADF personnel, ensuring they have access to the best possible healthcare services. With our experienced multi-disciplinary health care teams, we provide a range of high-quality evidence-based mental health services to patients.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN); OR minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing; OR undergraduate trained Mental Health Nurse (UK); OR trained and registered as a Psychiatric Nurse / Mental Health Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate experience in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
About Lavarack Health Centre
Lavarack Health Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. This facility provides primary medical, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to Defence members, and consists of a 24/7 inpatient ward.
About You
You are a dedicated nurse who is passionate about providing the highest quality healthcare and particularly skilled in mental health. With an ability to put patients at ease, your warmth and care is one of your greatest attributes and you understand the importance of this in making a difference to those in need of mental health services.
This is a great opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients. The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per annum depending on experience, location and other factors.
