Job Title:

Virtualization Expert

Description

We are seeking a skilled Virtualization Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in monitoring and troubleshooting complex virtual environments, ensuring security and compliance, and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Utilize tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, ControlUp, SolarWinds, or PRTG to track system performance, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and session statistics.
  • Diagnose and resolve user login problems, session slowness, and application crashes by analysing system logs and alerts.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Fine-tune Citrix policies, load balancing, and resource allocation; recommend infrastructure or configuration improvements to enhance system efficiency.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Monitor usage trends to forecast resource needs and assist in scaling the virtual environment to meet growing demand.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Maintain secure access to virtual desktops and applications and monitor for unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Solid experience in complex virtual environments as a System Administrator/Engineer.
  • Proficient experience with administering, configuring and monitoring complex multi-domain virtual environments over a wide area network.
  • Professional experience with operational support, complimented with technical project involvement in this area.
  • Professional experience in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new virtual initiatives (Version Upgrades, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems).
  • Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols.
