About the Role

The role involves working alongside experienced tradespeople to gain hands-on experience in furniture making, setting up and operating various machines, and producing technical drawings. You will have the opportunity to develop strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, essential for success in this trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using hand and power tools to create high-quality furniture pieces
  • Setting up and operating static and CNC machines to produce precise cuts and shapes
  • Producing manual and computer-aided production drawings (CAD) to communicate design ideas and specifications
  • Performing measurements and calculations, and interpreting work documents to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Estimating and costing job orders to manage resources effectively
