The Project

Growthbuilt is working with Schools Infrastructure NSW to upgrade Punchbowl Public School as part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild essential services. The project involves upgrading the school's facilities, including additional fit-for-purpose classrooms and core facilities, relocation of the administration unit, and upgrade and refurbishment of the early intervention and support classrooms.

The Role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our well-resourced team to work on the façade, fit-out, and services aspects of the project. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and documentation of the project, working closely with the project team to identify and resolve issues, and managing the flow of technical information between design disciplines and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs)
  • Assist in the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of project quality standards and procedures
  • Identify and speak up when there are issues with the project, drive the development and implementation of solutions
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance
  • Review the quality of subcontract works on site and communicate with the project team
  • Assist with ensuring design is completed to standard and on time to maintain program
  • Manage, monitor, and control the flow of technical information between design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders
  • Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief
  • Reference tender package content for scope of work, product usage, and design logic

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in façade, finishes, and services engineering. The ideal candidate will have:

2-3 years post-graduate experience in an engineering role working within the tier 2 or 3 construction spaceIdeal experience in façade, finishes, and services engineering working on fit-out or new-build projects as a Site EngineerCompleted works, at least 1 full project completed as a Site EngineerWillingness to learn and work collaboratively in a teamExcellent attention to detail, time management, and organisation skillsDegree qualifications in Engineering or Construction ManagementProficiency in Procore, MS Suite, and Aconex
