Procurement Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Officer to join our team at the City of Mandurah. As a key member of our Procurement Services team, you will be responsible for managing low to medium risk procurement processes, working with various stakeholders and across multiple project teams.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures within a local and public sector environment. You will have a proven track record of delivering procurement services and contract preparation in a government setting, with a focus on probity, accountability, and transparency.

We offer a competitive salary range of $87,623 - $102,693 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Our team is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we welcome applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and contract management
  • Developing and maintaining procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Providing advice and support to stakeholders on procurement matters
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure effective procurement practices

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in procurement, business, law, or a related field
  • Three to five years' experience in procurement, preferably in a government setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
