Job Title: Dairy Farm Supervisor

Job Description:

As a Dairy Farm Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dairy farm. This includes managing the milking shed routine, coordinating reproductive programs, and assisting in controlled breeding experiments.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve milk production and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate the reproductive program, including artificial insemination and herd fertility management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of controlled breeding experiments to improve livestock strains.
  • Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals, and maintain Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines – Cattle.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
  • Operate milking plant and equipment safely, record instrument data such as milk temperature and cow identification.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of dairy farming practices and principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
