- Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to ensure safe and effective care.
- Administer medications in a timely and safe manner, and report any concerns or adverse reactions.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to Personal Carers on each shift.
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice.
- Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury.
- Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. You will have at least 1-2 years of experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment, and possess sound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand.
You will also have the ability to read written instructions and to write clearly and concisely, particularly in progress notes. Exceptional time management skills are essential to manage your workload and support other staff.
