About the Role:

  • Collaborate with our software systems team to develop firmware components for Saluda Medical products and testing utilities.
  • Participate in specification, design, implementation, and testing of firmware components.
  • Develop test requirements and verification protocols.
  • Contribute to and participate in requirements and design review meetings.
  • Prepare and review system documentation.
  • Develop test requirements and verification protocols.
  • Produce design-related documentation to meet medical device requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the specification, design, development, and testing of firmware (bare metal).
  • Expertise in C.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with C#, Python, or similar languages for PC application development and scripting.
  • Experience with and commitment to software development in a QA controlled environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player and ability to work as a self-managed professional.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.
  • Experience in software architecture development and software design.
  • Experience in medical device design and development.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
  • Experience in the neuromodulation industry.
