The RoleThis isn't about maintenance or incremental tweaks. You'll be working on the design and development of next-generation consumer electronics — architecting systems from the ground up, integrating hardware and firmware, and ensuring products are robust enough to scale globally.
To keep building on this momentum, they're looking for a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and leadership. Someone who can:
- Leading the development of embedded firmware in C/C++ on Nordic Semiconductor (nRF52/nRF53/nRF54) platforms, using the Zephyr RTOS.
- Designing and optimising low-level drivers, peripherals, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE, Wi-Fi).
- Developing and integrating wireless stacks (Bluetooth Classic/LE, 2.4 GHz ISM, Wi-Fi) and working closely with RF engineers on firmware tuning, calibration, and protocol optimisation.
- Implementing firmware routines for antenna switching, RF coexistence, and power management to maximise wireless reliability and efficiency.
- Building testable, maintainable firmware that integrates seamlessly with companion applications and tooling (Python/C#/CI pipelines).
- Collaborating with electronics, acoustics, and RF teams to bring new product concepts to life — ensuring signal integrity and wireless performance are designed in at the firmware level.
- Providing technical leadership: mentoring engineers, reviewing designs, and influencing architectural decisions across the embedded software group.
