We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at St Jerome's Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health support to students, staff, and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement mental health programs and initiatives to promote student wellbeing
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and wellbeing
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for students with mental health concerns
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to provide support and resources for students and families
- Eligibility for registration as a psychologist (provisionally registered psychologists will be considered)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain respectful and effective professional relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate intervention effectiveness and adapt intervention goals and methods as required
The successful candidate will hold a degree in psychology and be registered as a psychologist with the relevant professional body. They will also have experience working with children and adolescents, and a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
