iiCAPTAIN - RTO 51850, also known as Australian Boat Schools, provide Nationally recognised Maritime Qualifications as listed below, VHF Radio Licence, Recreational Skippers Tickets/Boat Licence, and Advanced Boating and Skipper Training and assessment courses throughout Australia.

Previously known as Perth Boat School, now iiCAPTAIN, is under new management since October 2021.

iiCAPTAIN's team are honest, safety focused, innovative, fun, friendly and relaxed professionals with a common set of values and we're looking for another like-minded individual to join our growing team based out of our head office at Woodman Point.

**The Role**:
We’re looking for an exceptional maritime trainer and assessor with significant experience delivering Coxswains and Masters training and assessment, including conducting the AMPA. We expect that all trainer and assessors provide documented evidence of current industry experience that is seperate to training and assessment activities.

To be successful in this role you will need strong computer skills including experience using student management systems and online learning management systems and Microsoft suite.

We are currently seeking a trainer and assessor for each of the below courses, Starting at **$55 per hour** for Casual Employees
- MAR20321 Certificate II in Maritime Operations (**Coxswain Grade 1** Near Coastal)
- MAR10418 Certificate I in Maritime Operations (**Coxswain Grade 2** Near Coastal)

**Duties**:

- Conduct yourself inline with our values at all times
- Maintain a safe, comfortable and positive learning environment at all times
- Deliver theory and practical training sessions and conduct assessments in compliance with relevant standards, conditions and the RTO’s policies and procedures.
- Training and assessing both face to face and online, within our LMS and via Teams meetings with individuals or small groups to provide additional support.
- Conduct AMSA mandated practical assessments inline with AMSA Requirements.
- Provide feedback and support to learners
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders
- Conduct industry engagement for relevant courses and contextualise courseware when required.
- Maintain accurate records of training and assessment activities
- Cary out vessel pre-start checks, maintenance and record keeping
- Towing, launching and retrieving vessels
- Safely operating vessels inline with SMS, policies and procedures.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects.
- Update and improve relevant courseware inline with the RTO’s policies and procedures
- Maintain industry currency and engage with industry
- Maintain current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning

**Location**:
iiCAPTAIN's head office is located at Woodman Point, however we also deliver courses to clients at their workplace in remote locations.

**Work from Home**:
In this role you will be able to work from home when there is no need to be at the office/training room/boat when there is no need present face to face.

**Remuneration**:
Remuneration is based on the courses that you are delivering. Starting at $55 per hour for Casual Employees delivering Coxswains and increasing from there for higher level courses.

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or any past or future equivalent; or TAE40122
- MAR20321 Certificate II in Maritime Operations (**Coxswain Grade 1** Near Coastal) or higher Qualification.
- Demonstrated current maritime industry experience, skills and knowledge (90 Days Sea Time)
- Have or be able to get National Police Certificate and Working with Children check
- Very Good communication skills
- Very Professional and Positive attitude
- Australian Drivers Licence (current) & own reliable car capable of towing a boat.
- VERY reliable, flexible and honest.

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
