Aircraft Maintenance Engineers play a vital role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of helicopters.

Job Overview

As an aircraft maintenance engineer – structures, you will be responsible for performing high-quality structural maintenance and modifications on helicopters. You will work closely with your team to support timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural repairs, inspections, and modifications according to company procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
  • Maintain accurate job cards, logbooks, and work documentation.
  • Raise and manage Additional Maintenance Requirements (AMRs).
  • Support planning of materials and manpower to meet schedules and reduce delays.
  • Supervise apprentices and contribute to their development.
  • Communicate with customers, providing technical feedback and updates.
  • Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS) and WHS programs.
Requirements

Proven experience in aircraft structural repairs, heavy maintenance, and modifications is essential.

  • Understanding of aviation maintenance regulations (CASA).
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Basic ERP systems and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience under CAR 30 and Part 145.
  • Prior work in a similar-sized MRO or aviation organisation.
  • Bell helicopter type experience (advantageous but not essential).
