We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling local pickups and deliveries.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Accurate and timely tracking and data entry
- Ensuring all driver paperwork is completed daily
- Planning and scheduling local pickups and deliveries
- Identifying and resolving operational issues as they arise
- Making confident, informed decisions under pressure
- Maintaining compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
- Clear and effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Promoting and supporting a safe and healthy work environment
- Participating in safety initiatives and toolbox talks
- Optimising load capacities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Leading by example – professional presentation and high standards
- Monitoring and managing Reefer units
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an operations or supervisory role within the heavy vehicle industry
- Ability to provide up-to-date, contactable references
- Willingness to learn internal software systems
- Capable of performing under pressure in a time-critical environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current forklift licence
