About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the overall quality of life and well-being of our residents at Arcare Aged Care.

The General Services Manager is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the non-clinical aspects of our residence, including Catering, Cleaning, Laundry, and Maintenance.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Catering and Dining Services: Manage the Catering department to ensure residents receive nutritious and balanced meals according to their dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Environmental Management: Oversee a team of Cleaners and Laundry Attendants to ensure cleaning and laundry services meet and exceed resident expectations.
  • Maintenance Management: Prioritize and manage maintenance requests to ensure repairs meet and exceed resident expectations.
  • Service Providers Management: Manage external contractors to ensure legislative and contractual requirements are met.
  • Extra Services Management: Ensure extra services meet Arcare's offerings, resident, and family expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets for your remit, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and lead non-clinical staff, ensuring proper training, performance evaluation, and staff development.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage and lead teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the aged care industry, including regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing staff in Aged Care or a similar industry.
