Job Summary:
This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operation of a 50-bed dementia unit within a large nursing home. As the Clinical Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Building a close rapport with residents and their families, which is at the heart of running the home successfully.
- Leading a hard-working and caring nursing team, cultivating a collaborative work culture focused on residents.
- Liaising closely with everyone in the clinical team.
- Assisting in staff recruitment and maintaining occupancy.
- Ensuring the home continually meets compliance with aged care standards and aligns with the organisation's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve resident care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the facility manager to ensure the home meets regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of the organisation's aged care services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years RN experience with AHPRA Registration.
- Minimum 2 years clinical management experience or similar.
- Dementia-specific experience and post-graduate qualifications preferred.
- A genuine passion for aged care.
