About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust & Foundation Manager to join our team at Impact Advising. As a key member of our philanthropy team, you will play a critical role in securing funding for high-impact research and supporting emerging and leading heart health researchers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropy strategy to grow revenue sustainably through building meaningful relationships with trusts and foundations.
  • Identify and cultivate new prospects, and build a pipeline of long-term supporters to grow revenue.
  • Coordinate a grant calendar and manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, including prospective grants.
  • Develop genuine, sustainable relationships with trusts and foundations, and inspire them to make substantial philanthropic gifts to the Heart Foundation.
  • Assist in providing strategies to engage the Heart Foundation senior staff in grant activities.
  • Meet individual KPIs and contribute to team income targets as agreed in the annual business plan.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in grant submissions, trust and foundation relationship management, and proven success with high-value income generation in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Understanding of the donor cycle and demonstrated ability to secure philanthropic grants of high value ($100,000 plus).
  • Experience in segmenting donor lists and prioritizing donor contact.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated data analysis skills with the ability to research, profile, and qualify grant prospects, and to develop and implement relationship work and grant submissions.
  • High-level interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, build and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders as well as proven collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with fundraising or CRM databases (e.g. Raisers Edge and GEM Portal).
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, continuous development, and knowledge sharing with the drive to make an impact across health-focused programs on a national scale.
