About the Role

Flying Bark Productions is seeking a highly skilled CG Lighting Artist to join our team. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality lighting and rendering solutions for our animated productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with compositors and creative leads to achieve the creative brief set by the VFX Supervisor
  • Confidently use provided tools and software to execute and deliver high-quality visual style
  • Develop and maintain consistency of lighting across all shots
  • Optimize and troubleshoot lighting and rendering problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with compositors to bring shots from lighting through to final while maintaining timing and production quotas
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of production experience in 3D animated films and/or animated episodic
  • Portfolios with mature, graphic stylization of reality preferred
  • Experience lighting and rendering with Arnold using Katana
  • Experience in Nuke to create a pre-composite tree that combines rendered elements
  • Ability to successfully take and interpret a creative brief
  • Ability to work within a team and maintain good team dynamics
  • Ability to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasks
  • Ability to self-manage and complete tasks within production deadlines
