Dean Leadership Opportunity

This senior academic leadership position plays a pivotal role in driving excellence, innovation, and compliance across a diverse portfolio of programs. As Dean, you will shape the future of higher education and vocational training at a dynamic and student-focused education provider.

You will provide strategic and academic leadership across a portfolio of higher education and vocational training programs, ensuring they are academically rigorous, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with industry and student needs.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will lead a team of academic staff and department heads, driving excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship, program innovation, and continuous quality improvement.

Fostering partnerships with industry, government, and professional bodies is a critical part of this role, ensuring our graduates are equipped with skills and knowledge that position them for success in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and academic leadership across a portfolio of higher education and vocational training programs.
  • Lead a team of academic staff and department heads, driving excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship, program innovation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Foster partnerships with industry, government, and professional bodies to enhance graduate employability.

Requirements:

  • A strong academic leadership background at Academic Level D/E.
  • Significant experience in higher education and vocational training leadership.
  • A proven track record of innovation in teaching, learning, scholarship, and curriculum design.
  • Excellent knowledge of course development, academic governance, compliance, and quality assurance (TEQSA, ASQA).
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop academic teams.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including engagement with industry and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ESOS requirements.
