Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visiting Medical Officer to provide high-quality anaesthetic and acute pain services for surgical procedures including obstetrics and paediatrics.

The successful applicant will possess sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesia, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.

Key responsibilities include providing a full range of anaesthetic services, managing acute pain, and participating in quality assurance activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

They will also have a commitment to teaching and supervision, as well as familiarity with research concepts and a willingness to support basic, applied or clinical research.

Requirements
  • Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent.
  • Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and skills in Anaesthesia, with experience in managing acute pain and participating in quality assurance activities.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be committed to teaching and supervision, and have a willingness to support research activities.
