Job Title: Advanced Pharmacy Assistant

West Moreton Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy assistant to join their team in a state-of-the-art facility delivering 90 additional beds in West Moreton.


About The Role

This role requires the ability to apply advanced knowledge in pharmacy, including knowledge of healthcare systems, medical terminology, and general medical conditions. A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is also required, with an understanding of the scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a defined range of advanced pharmacy services to people with variable health literacy.
  • Initiate, plan, perform, and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of a registered pharmacist.
  • Supervise and liaise effectively with staff and patients, communicating clearly and respectfully.
  • Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and efficient.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive.
