We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our Medicines at Home and Homecare team at Ipswich Hospital, with occasional cross-site work. This role involves developing and managing Homecare Medicines services across ESNEFT, including all Medicines at Home and OPAT services.

You will be responsible for participating in the daily operations of the Medicines at Home service, which serves over 4,500 patients across East Suffolk and North Essex, contributing to NHS cost savings of £3.5 million last year. Collaboration with clinics and service providers to ensure service agreements align with clinical governance is essential.

This position offers professional development opportunities through on-the-job training and other educational programs. You will maintain your core responsibilities as a pharmacy technician in the dispensary and ward settings.

These are full-time roles, but part-time applications will be considered.

About Our Pharmacy Service

You will work with the OPAT coordinator, doctors, and pharmacists to coordinate antibiotic prescribing, ordering, dispensing, and supply for patients in the OPAT service across East Suffolk and North Essex. Ensuring all Homecare medicines services adhere to contractual and governance standards is crucial. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review and improve existing services.
