Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, based on experience.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Leading Hand to join our Gladstone Workshop team. As a key member of our operations, you will work under the direction of the Service Supervisor to maintain and repair Komatsu equipment, ensuring optimal quality, availability, and performance. Your technical expertise in construction and mining equipment will be crucial in leading the Component and Rebuild Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair Komatsu equipment to ensure optimum quality, availability, and performance.
  • Lead and supervise workshop operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in all activities.
  • Mentor and train workshop staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Actively participate in communication and data collection between Komatsu and nominated resident technician customer base.

Requirements:

  • Certified Tradesperson with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Technical expertise in construction and mining equipment, including earthmoving machinery and components.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a focus on maintaining a zero-harm culture.
  • Current understanding of Komatsu ICT systems, including Komtrax, EQP Care, Link One, and QLD Aftermarket Database.
