About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable professional to join our dynamic finance team in Brisbane.

This pivotal role involves taking ownership of Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable role, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Liaising with managers, departments, and customers to coordinate sales invoicing activities and issue investigation
  • Data entry of varied sales invoices from multiple source systems via direct invoice entry and bulk system upload
  • Debtor management, master data maintenance, and accounts receivable reporting
  • Receipting payments, debt collection, preparing and distributing statements
  • Assisting in the management of company bank accounts and merchant agreements, completing bank reconciliations, investigating balancing issues, and posting adjustments
  • Completing and/or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for accounts receivable accounts
  • Completing and/or reviewing daily and monthly POS reconciliations to various POS systems, variance analysis including follow-up on any variances (overs/unders), and posting journal adjustments
  • Preparing daily and weekly cash flow spreadsheets
  • Processing month-end reconciliations and journals, including cash in transit, unders/overs, and accruals for any revenue receivable and banking or merchant fees
  • Preparing audit workpapers and reconciliations that meet external audit requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Customer service experience - belief that outstanding customer service is key to success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, report building, and manage formulas)
  • Ability to be self-directed and work with a high degree of independence
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
