Job Opportunity:
Casual social workers play a vital role in enhancing the lives of patients and their families by providing psychosocial assessment and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs.
- Develop and implement effective interventions to support patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide leave cover for social work teams across various programs.
Requirements:
- Experience in hospital social work, palliative care, progressive neurology, and/or aged care.
- Strong knowledge of systems and supports that help people live well with advanced illness and/or aging.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Tertiary qualification in social work.
- Eligible for registration with the relevant professional association.
