Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to join our dynamic team in the Palliative Care unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to clients through the use of proficient clinical skills, effective communication, and professional leadership within the Social Work service and multi-disciplinary teams.

This is a part-time opportunity, with 32 hours per fortnight, offering a great work-life balance.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual who possesses the necessary qualifications, skills, and experience to excel in this role.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW, as well as previous bed-based Social Work experience (at least 2 years).

A strong commitment to high-quality care, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team are essential requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to clients through the use of proficient clinical skills and effective communication
  • Demonstrate professional leadership within the Social Work service and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW
  • Previous bed-based Social Work experience (at least 2 years)
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Endorsement (CPE) as per AASW requirements
  • Strong commitment to high-quality care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
