Primary Opinion Veterinarian Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy veterinary hospital providing high-quality first opinion and specialist referral equine and large animal veterinary services.

You will be part of a close-knit team providing emergency services, taking responsibility for our in-patients and ambulatory primary opinion. You will have the opportunity to work closely with specialists across all areas of the hospital, contributing to clinical teaching and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary opinion and emergency services as a member of the veterinary team
  • Work on a rotating emergency and after-hours roster
  • Take responsibility for in-patients and ambulatory primary opinion
  • Contribute to clinical teaching and supervision of students

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for Veterinary registration in South Australia
  • Demonstrated veterinary experience in first opinion large animal practice is an advantage
  • Ability to work proactively and productively in a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and experience in assisting, teaching or mentoring others
