Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equine Care Specialist to join our team. As an essential member of our equine practice, you will be responsible for the daily care and handling of thoroughbred racehorses.

This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of quality clinical care and exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our veterinary team to ensure the health and well-being of our horses.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Mucking out boxes and maintaining general stable and yard cleanliness and organisation
  • Feeding horses and loading/unloading them from transport
  • Holding horses during veterinary treatments

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a stable hand position or equivalent
  • Confident horse handling skills - essential
  • Motivation and self-sufficiency to work independently
  • Personable, professional, and well-presented demeanor
  • Punctuality and reliability
