Equine Care Assistant
">The role of Equine Care Assistant involves working closely with the Stock Horse Manager to ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of our equine population.
We are seeking individuals who have a genuine passion for horses and a strong desire to provide exceptional care and attention to detail. As part of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks such as feeding, grooming and exercising the horses, as well as monitoring their health and soundness.
A key aspect of this role is providing support in all aspects of equine care and upkeep, including maintenance of equipment. Previous experience in animal care and operations is highly desirable, but not essential. What is essential is a commitment to providing high-quality care and attention to detail.
As an Equine Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Property Veterinarian and Stock Horse Manager to administer prescribed medications and provide general first aid when needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to your supervisor.
