The University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden seeks a dynamic and experienced Veterinary Registrar to join our growing equine ambulatory team. This position offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to develop their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with a highly skilled team of veterinary professionals. As a Veterinary Registrar, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical procedures, and assisting in surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert clinical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various conditions
  • Assisting in surgical operations, including pre-operative preparation, anaesthesia, and post-operative care
  • Conducting medical procedures, such as biopsies, endoscopies, and imaging studies
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, taking into account the specific needs and requirements of each patient
Requirements
  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Registration or licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Australia or New Zealand
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in equine practice, preferably in an academic or research setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
