SCOM Engineer for Defence Digital Modernisation

We are seeking an experienced SCOM SME and engineer to join our close-knit, multidisciplinary team. Your role will involve leveraging your expert knowledge in monitoring, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of the customer's key cloud IT infrastructure and services through best-of-breed technologies and practices.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, uplifting, and performing tuning of SCOM in a large, complex multi-domain environment. You will also provide application and infrastructure support for the SCOM platform, create and maintain monitoring and notification rules, and configure integration with ServiceNow.
Additionally, you will be required to set up SCOM with SNMP traps, deliver SCOM views, create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts. You will also review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles, and create and install custom Management Packs as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for a professional with 5+ years of related experience in the setup, maintenance, uplift, and performance tuning of large-scale deployments of SCOM in complex multi-domain environments. You should have experience as an engineer in a multidisciplinary environment and knowledge of change and release management processes. Experience with data centre virtualization technologies, such as VMware, and knowledge of database systems are desirable.
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV-2 or NV-1 security clearance. If you hold an NV-1, you must be willing to go through the process of gaining your NV-2.
