About the Position

We are currently casting a line out for an enthusiastic and customer-focused leader to excel in our Food and Beverage position. This full-time opportunity is responsible for providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences; key accountabilities include:

  • Setting the restaurant in line with booking requirements and customer requests
  • Breaking down and cleaning the restaurant
  • Assisting with rostering requirements and shift coverage
  • Providing staff training to new team members and assisting with current staff development plans
  • Supervising and managing staff on shift
  • Resolving customer complaints
  • Preparing and serving barista-standard coffee
  • Providing full fine dining table service
  • Preparing and serving beverages, including cocktails and presentation of wine
  • Facilitating room service, taking orders and delivery
  • Following RSA government legislation requirements
  • Maintaining cleanliness front-of-house areas
  • Setting up and breaking down function and events on site
  • Overseeing and managing daily open and closing procedures

This position will require availability for split shifts across a 7-day rotating roster. Seasonal peaks run through summer, public holiday, and school holiday periods, so availability during these times is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking passionate senior food and beverage professionals with fine dining experience. Good knowledge of wine or exposure to presenting wine in a restaurant setting will be highly regarded. You will have exceptional customer service skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and the ability to maintain high standards in a busy and demanding position.
