Water Education Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Water Education Specialist.
The successful candidate will contribute to the operation and provide high levels of customer service at various leisure centres across the region.
Hume City Council is one of Australia's fastest growing and culturally diverse councils, prioritizing the customer and community in all aspects of our work.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can effectively teach water education programs, perform water demonstrations, and assist in operational improvements.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure staff and visitor safety
- Continuously assess class participant grading to ensure progression through the swim program
- Communicate progress to families and provide instructions to customers
- Support scheduling of new classes
- Be the first point of contact for customer queries and concerns
- Provide support to instructors and offer assistance where necessary
- Austswim Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Demonstrated experience as a swim instructor
- Currently teaching in the Hume Swim School Program
