Medical Officer Role in the Hunter Valley Region

The hospital is situated in the picturesque Hunter Valley region and offers a unique blend of community-focused care and high-quality medical services. With 154 beds, six operating theatres, and a ten-bed ICU, it provides comprehensive care to patients from Maitland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Current ALS 2 certification, including cannulation, arterial and venous puncture, and fluid resuscitation.
  • A comprehensive understanding of DETECT protocol and support nursing staff in its implementation.
  • Identify deviations in diagnostic results and take appropriate action, notifying VMO as needed.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience to undertake ICU CMO roles.
Requirements:
  • Clinical and procedural experience adequate for an ICU CMO.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures.
