About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Governance Specialist to lead the refinement and oversight of our underwriting governance framework, ensuring alignment with group policy frameworks.

This role involves conducting reviews such as Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) standards, collaborating with data analysts to enhance dashboards, monitoring tools, and oversight systems, providing governance expertise across all elements of the underwriting process, overseeing risk self-assessments (RSAs), monitoring high and critical breaches, and addressing control failures' broader implications.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of underwriting processes and risk controls, experience in the insurance industry, excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, analytical skills and experience working with data to improve monitoring and oversight, and experience working across diverse projects and timeframes.
