The Department of Education, Western Australia invites applications for a dynamic leadership position in the HASS learning area at Eastern Hills Senior High School.
This permanent full-time position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of teachers in delivering high-quality, inclusive, and future-focused learning programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and the school's strategic direction.
Main Responsibilities- Foster a collaborative culture within the HASS learning area, promoting a shared commitment to high expectations and continual improvement.
- Cultivate respectful and supportive relationships with staff and students, exemplifying effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
- Promote differentiated programs through collaborative leadership, mentoring, and targeted professional learning, driving student data-informed decision-making.
- Lead by example, utilizing student data to drive classroom practice and inform instructional strategies.
- Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before commencing employment; and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and public relations skills, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
- Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet program objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to apply professional knowledge, achieving high levels of educational outcomes for all students, including Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and students with special needs.
- Professional knowledge and application skills, ensuring a strong educational environment that fosters growth and development.
