
Fitness Specialist

As an Exercise Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to clients within a science-driven rehabilitation environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting one-on-one and group training sessions, strength assessments, and movement analysis with clients on the training floor.
- Applying scientific concepts such as biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, and motor control to support clients' needs.
- Providing evidence-based advice on health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance to clients.
- Developing and implementing exercise prescriptions and plans for clients based on their specific requirements.
- Establishing, assessing, and reassessing goals for new and long-term clients to ensure they meet their objectives.
- Guiding athletes or clients to achieve peak performance and recover from injury by providing expert guidance and support.
- Completing administrative duties related to client records, progress tracking, and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Exercise/Sports Science or a related discipline with a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise programming.
- Relevant placement/practicum experience in exercise prescription, preferably in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Desirable: 1-3 years of relevant work experience, private practice experience, and experience in long-term client management in strength training.
