Asset Manager and Maintenance Specialist

This role involves day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the government. The public assets include schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations. Your primary responsibility will be managing maintenance and capital works, developing plans to achieve commercial targets, and optimizing lifecycle costs.
As a facilities manager, you will support strategic initiatives, analyze call-outs, reactive maintenance, and other requests to inform asset maintenance plans and preventative maintenance schedules. You will be the first point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance matters.
Key duties include monitoring and directing contractor performance, ensuring contracts are executed within budget and scope. Additionally, you will assist with audits and inspections, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and monitor reporting on delivery of programmed work by subcontracted providers.
Skills and Qualifications- Industry experience in local government, asset management, field service, project engineering, facility management, or trade backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in provision of facilities management services.
- Project management qualifications or relevant industry experience.
- Current driver's license required.
