Academic in Exercise and Sports Science

The role of Academic in Exercise and Sports Science offers a fantastic opportunity to lead outreach through Health and Movement Science initiatives in local schools, strengthening regional engagement and movement education.

This position is a key component of our university's strategy to enhance student development and expand Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Exercise and Sports Science or Clinical Exercise Physiology and be eligible for, or hold, ESSA accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality learning in Exercise and Sports Science and Nutrition
  • Support student development and academic success
  • Expand WIL opportunities and align with industry standards

The successful applicant will bring expertise in biomechanics, exercise prescription, movement science, and nutrition, with experience in tertiary teaching or WIL. Strong communication skills and a student-focused approach are essential.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Exercise and Sports Science or Clinical Exercise Physiology
  • ESSA accreditation
