Data-Driven Business Development Specialist

Our organisation is seeking a skilled Technology Analyst to play a pivotal role in driving business development across our Technology and Transformation portfolio. As a key member of our Finance Corporate Partnering & Financial Control team, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights to inform strategic recommendations and support the development and delivery of business improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable recommendations through data modelling, benchmarking, and competitor analysis.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; challenge assumptions and provide expert insight on performance drivers.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to prepare monthly reports with clear commentary, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support the evaluation of strategic initiatives, including assessment of benefits, risks, and expenditure.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and embed continuous improvement in financial workflows and systems.
- Partner with stakeholders to present clear financial insights, support performance reviews, and build strong relationships across operational and project teams.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting within complex organisations.
- Advanced analytical skills, with expertise in using enterprise finance systems and tools.
- Ability to drive budgeting and planning processes to completion within deadlines.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, always seeking ways to enhance accuracy, reporting, and value creation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
