This role is a key part of Moorabool Shire Council’s recovery efforts after the February storms.

As a Storm Recovery Officer, you will coordinate recovery activities, manage contractors and suppliers, maintain accurate records, and ensure efficient delivery of recovery outcomes. You will also work closely with stakeholders to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recovery activities following natural disasters
  • Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Develop and implement effective recovery plans, restoring vital infrastructure and minimizing disruption to the community

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in arboriculture and/or horticulture, or equivalent experience. Strong background in project management within asset recovery and maintenance is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders.

You will also need current Victorian Driver's Licence and Construction Induction (White Card) required.
