The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our team on a 12-month maximum term contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational aspects of the Financial Accounting function, providing leadership to the team, and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial information is maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with KPIs and accounting standards.
  • Leading and managing the financial accounting team, providing training, development, and succession planning opportunities.
  • Overseeing daily accounting activities to maintain the firm's general ledger and ensuring strong collaboration with other financial controlling functions.
  • Driving monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while continuously improving accounting practices and internal controls.
  • Supervising the consolidation and financial statement preparation process, managing external auditor liaison.
  • Resolving complex accounting issues and providing guidance on technical matters, including new accounting standards and transactional accounting.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A degree and CA/CPA qualifications.
  • 8+ years' experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in Service Trust arrangements (desirable).
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a thorough and methodical approach to work.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating a team.
  • Experience initiating activities that contribute to meeting the organization's strategic objectives.
