Aircraft Technical Support Specialist

Job Overview:

The Aircraft Technical Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimum safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the aircraft fleet. This specialized role requires a deep understanding of airworthiness management, aviation safety, and reliability programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all aircraft are repaired and modified according to OEM and Part 21 instructions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance control teams to oversee the repair and modification of aircraft.
  • Develop and review source technical information published by airframe and engine manufacturers.
  • Manage the implementation of action plans as necessary.
  • Oversee and develop fleet reliability data preparation, investigate trends, and propose corrective actions.
  • Support ARC signatories with collation of airworthiness review reports.
  • Manage the transition of aircraft into and out of the fleet.
  • Liaise with aircraft, engine, and equipment manufacturers regarding continuing airworthiness matters.
  • Liaise with airline operations staff and aircrew.

Requirements:

  • Hold a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer qualification with at least 10 years' experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in technical management within an airline, Part-42 or Part-145 environment.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and standards.
  • Have in-depth working knowledge and experience of airworthiness management, aviation safety, and reliability programs.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite, maintenance management software (TRAX, AMOS, IAS, Envision or similar) are essential.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, combined with courtesy and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues at all levels.
