Director of Workforce Management

Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as the principal advisor to the CEO and Executive Team on all workforce-related matters. This involves leading strategic HR initiatives, including employee engagement, culture development, and organisational design. Additionally, the Director of Workforce Management will oversee core HR operations such as recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and remuneration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations Management: The ideal candidate will have experience managing end-to-end payroll functions within a complex environment, as well as strong knowledge and hands-on experience with employee relations, including enterprise bargaining and industrial instruments.
  • Strategic Leadership: The Director of Workforce Management will lead organisational change and transformation initiatives, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Communication and Influence: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, with the ability to influence at all levels and present regular updates to Board committees.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: A comprehensive understanding of employment law, HR best practice, and WHS frameworks is necessary. Tertiary qualifications in HR, Law, Psychology, or a related field are also required.
  • Citizenship and Security Clearance: Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and willing to undertake a criminal history check.
