Dental Assistant Role Overview

This position supports dental officers and oral health therapists in delivering safe and effective oral health services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all oral healthcare procedures, ensuring high standards of quality and patient care.
  • Utilize computer software and electronic systems to complete work-related tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to achieve a positive and productive work environment.

  • Travel for work purposes, including driving long distances and overnight stays at the employer's expense.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a recognized field by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent.
  • High level of competence in assisting with all oral healthcare procedures.
  • Understanding of current infection control principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
